"We hiked in to camp here on Piccaninny Creek, in the Kimberley region of Australia's northwest corner. The creek is normally a little dribble during the dry season—it's a lake in wet season.

"We had heinous weather in the Kimberley. Many days we were shooting in clouds or partial clouds. Tom, our writer, got frustrated and decided to leave. Of course, as soon as he flew out, it got gorgeous."

"That was the first sunny day we had. The whole shoot was so rain-covered. I stuck A2 filters on all my lenses to warm it up a little bit. I liked the reflections of the clouds and the water. I centered the rock formation to even its reflection."
