"I always had this very ironic sense that I was Jim de la Selva, the TV star from Ecuador, despite the fact that I was not at all experienced in the jungle. Here I am with boots and a shirt courtesy of the Ecuadorian military, all ready to join the hunt for an anteater. I believe the dye, derived from a local plant, is for good luck. At the end of the day, the anteater got away."
