The Kashmir Diaries
Here the road builders are heating barrels of tar to add to the hand-crushed rocks in the barrel, which they mix together to create the new road surface. The whole procedure is extremely hazardous and toxic. If someone gets injured, the nearest help is hundreds of miles away—a daunting thought.
