High and Dry in the Altiplano
This photo answers the puzzling question: How do you transport a 17-foot (5-meter) kayak across the desert? We used this harness system to drag our kayaks out to Tuyajto. For the most part, this method worked out very nicely except for the times when the yellow grass (known as paca brava) would trip us up and flip the kayaks.
