Rappeling into Pine Creek in Utah's Zion National Park

"Canyoneering is about getting soaked, since you're following a water source through slots, down cliffs, and across pools carved over millions of years. In this shot, my son Logan, 19, is rappelling into Pine Creek, in Zion National Park, where the longest drop is 110 feet (33.5 meters). After contorting through the terrain for up to 12 hours a day, the aches set in, and my physical therapy skills came in handy."
