Presenting the "Life's an Adventure" Photography Contest

With great adventure photography, one old axiom really levels the playing field: You had to be there. No matter how excellent your camera or how keen your ability to set the right shutter speed and aperture, if you're not somewhere outdoors doing something active, you can't possibly get an incredible adventure shot.

With that in mind, we have opened the doors to all of you to show off where you've been and what you've done. Send us your best adventure shots and you could not only win one of the Marmot prizes (since you have to be there, you might as well stay warm), you could also get published in the magazine.

Winning photos will be selected by a team of photo editors from submissions received between February 2 and May 2, 2008. Three winners (one first place and two runners-up) will receive their choice of
four prizes, see below.

How to Enter:
Email us your best digital adventure photographs (72 dpi) and the following information:

1) Your name and your city and state of residence

2) A description of why the moment in the photo was memorable. Please include where and when the it was taken.

3) Tips, such as guides, tour outfitters, lodgging, websites, or books, that would help other travelers embark on a similar adventure.

Marmot DriClime Catalyst Jacket
A slightly more technical addition to the Wind line, the Catalyst uses an UpCycled version of DriClime fabric, as well as zippers. Stretch panels in the elbows make it ideal for a variety of outdoor activities.

Marmot "Original" DriClime Windshirt
Topping the charts year after year, the "Original" is highly regarded for its cozy, wind-blocking warmth.
