In the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, we found a troop of gorillas in the dense jungle where an adolsecent male was challenging the silverback dominant male. The massive silverback kept watch over the three females, two babies, and one juvenile. The young challenger, unaccustomed to the presence of humans, charged toward us. Before we could move, the silverback had cleared a path through the thick brush, pounding the ground with fierce power, and placed himself between the aggressive young male and our group. At this point, we knew it was time to get out of there.
