Bonobos are efficient at traveling through the forest canopy or on the ground. During the day, bonobos will typically be on the forest floor walking on all four limbs or upright on two hind legs. At night, bonobos build a nest high in a tree and sleep in the relative safety of the canopy. This bonobo at the Lola Ya Bonobo Sanctuary displayed typical dexterity for the species.
