This hut was the first sign of civilization after days of hiking through the jungle. The hut is owned hut by the Mountain Club of Kenya. They were nice enough to give Alex Fiksman a key. After camping out for days, sometimes in pouring rain, just to have a place to make a hot meal, stainless steel bunks, and a lantern was a fantastic respite—expecially before summiting the next day. —Contributing Editor Matthew Power
