Ireland Photo Gallery:The Wild West Coast It's Ireland's Gilded Age! So go on: Surf a mythic 40-foot (12-meter) break, kayak the crystalline coastline, and hike the unmarked wilds. But please, for your own good, don't step in the fairy blood. Photograph by Alex di Suvero
My preconception of an Ireland travel photo essay brought to mind pictures of pubs—pub doors, rows of pubs, etc. Even though it is true that the pub is the cornerstone of Irish social activities outside of the family and the church, I wanted to avoid this cliché. To keep the outdoors theme, we drank and ate outside at a pub! —Contributing Photographer Alex di Suvero
