Ireland Photo Gallery: The Wild West Coast It's Ireland's Gilded Age! So go on: Surf a mythic 40-foot (12-meter) break, kayak the crystalline coastline, and hike the unmarked wilds. But please, for your own good, don't step in the fairy blood. Photograph by Alex di Suvero
The Burren is this fantastic rock ridge south of Galway that used to be the sea bed. Walking sort of aimlessly along the formation, I had no clear agenda of the image I wanted to make. Here with Greg's wife, I found this interesting series of lines and played with the perspective until I found something I liked. The drizzle served to create a shine on the karst and gave it a slightly more tide-pool look. —Contributing Photographer Alex di Suvero
