I took this shot inside the
Molokini Crater, a popular diving and snorkeling destination for residents and visitors to Hawaii. Located about three miles
(5 kilometers) off the coast of
Maui, Molokini is a long-extinct, eroded cinder cone. Here, my dive buddy, Daniel Bramwell, is face-to-face with a monk seal known to enjoy interacting with the divers and snorkelers. The seal, affectionately called "Humpy," has been relocated a couple of times for his overly frisky conduct with people.
