This is the entrace to the ashram, which is on top of a hill in a largely forested part of south India. It was almost impossible to get a clear overview shot of the ashram. As you can see, during the day the pathways are empty—if you're caught standing around dwandling, as I was, someone will tap you on your shoulder and ask you to attend one of the daily activities—a lecture, meditation, or yoga class. —Photographer Daniel Pepper
