Depart from Nairobi, Kenya, early in the morning to drive north through the farmlands of the Kikuyu people. Arrive at Naro Moru in time for lunch. The village sits at the foot of Mount Kenya, Africa's second highest mountain at 17,057 feet (5,199 meters). The Kikuyu people deified Mount Kenya and actually built all of their houses with doors facing this majestic peak. Lunch and dinner are provided.
Day 2-3: Samburu Game Reserve Samburu Game Reserve is home to a number of wildlife species rarely found elsewhere. Enjoy two days of game viewing in search of animals such as the reticulated giraffe, Grevy's zebra, Beisa oryx, and Somali ostrich. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are provided.
Day 4: Lake Nakuru Passing the northern tip of the Aberdare Mountains, then descending into the Great Rift Valley, explore the area surrounding Lake Nakuru. Fantastic game viewing opportunities abound as we drive to the reserve. The Maasai Mara is famous for its excellent chances of seeing the Big Fivelion, leopard, buffalo, elephant and rhino. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are provided.
Day 7: Depart Nairobi Enjoy one last game drive in the morning, before having a final breakfast and heading back to Nairobi in the early evening. Breakfast and lunch are provided.
