Emperor Penguins

Emperor penguins are birds—but they can’t fly. They live on sea ice in Antarctica and spend a lot of time in the cold water. Female penguins lay their eggs on land, then head out to sea. The male penguins incubate the eggs by keeping them warm on their feet, covered by their stomachs (at bottom).
