Can I obtain a copy of an article that appeared in NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC, WORLD, TRAVELER, or ADVENTURE?

Sorry, but reprints of articles are only done at the time the magazines are printed, and then only in very large quantities (50,000-plus copies)

Can I search for articles online?

Most of our magazine articles are not online, but you may search the National Geographic Society Publications Index to find out in which issue a certain article appeared—or to find out where to find articles on a given topic. (Please see above for information on ordering back issues. Or order the Complete NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC on CD-ROM for an instant collection of every issue of NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC ever published.)

The National Geographic Society also produces printed NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC magazine indexes. Please check the National Geographic online store (ngstore.com) for costs.

Is there any value to my collection of past issues of NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC magazine?

The rates below are for purchasing available back issues from the Society directly, and do not constitute an assessment of value for any issues that you may have. To better determine the value of your collection, please contact a collector in your area. They should be in your yellow pages under collector. We have attached a list of dealers who might be able to help you.

Where can I donate my collection of past issues of NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC magazine?

The Society does not accept back copies of NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC magazine. Therefore, you may wish to donate your back copies to your local schools, hospitals, and/or charities. You may also send your magazines to one of the addresses listed below. You will be responsible for paying all shipping charges.
