Home of Brahmins, the Red Sox, baked beans, and a half dozen major colleges, Massachusetts’s capital is more culturally diverse and rich in history than any other American city its size. The best time to visit Boston is the late spring (April to May) or early fall (September to October) when temperatures are mild. Boston can be unbearably hot and humid in the summer and frigid in the winter.
