Second Time Online
This year, for the second time, Geography Action! activities are available at nationalgeographic.com. They’re designed to make geography relevant and fun, while giving you a framework for examining conservation-related issues.

For the past 14 years, the Geography Action! movement has been a major part of the National Geographic Society’s efforts to restore geography education throughout the United States and Canada. (This program was previously called Geography Awareness Week.) The primary goal is to promote awareness about the importance of geography and its relevance to almost any other subject. Each year approximately one and a half million students participate in related activities.

We are beginning to archive these activities, starting with last year’s Conservation theme. Over the next year, we will put the previous topics and activities online. To access past Geography Action! activities, click on the links below.
