Buried for centuries, the newly excavated pyramid builders' cemetery is shedding more light on the lives of the workers, Zahi Hawass, director of Egypt's antiquities program, says. Hundreds of tombs have been found. Many are rectangular and made of limestone or other types of rock. Others are made of mud brick and shaped like cones or beehives, Hawass says.
