Researchers from the September 2000 expedition detailed this season’s discoveries at National Geographic Society headquarters in Washington, D.C.

Explorer-in-Residence and Institute for Exploration President Robert Ballard, University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology archaeologist Fredrik Hiebert, and Institute of Nautical Archaeology archaeologist Cheryl Ward presented the results.
