美国国家地理学会自创立至今的一个多世纪里,始终致力于支持开创性研究和全球生物资源保护领域项目。为此,我们在中国成立了(美国)"国家地理空气与水保护基金"。该基金将资助中国科学工作者为寻求解决中国水资源和空气环境问题而进行的实地科学研究。

资助款将用于那些处在研究、技术和环境保护领域前沿并需要起始资金的实地项目,包括一些实施过程中可能具有风险性,或方法尚待考验的项目。

资助项目包括但不限于:科学研究、社区保护项目、技术创新,以及对空气和水环境保护领域的创新方案产生直接影响而所作的推广工作。资助款将优先给予在全球范围内可以复制和延展的项目。

阿里巴巴集团是(美国)"国家地理空气与水保护基金"的合伙创始公司。
