Personal warmth, delicious breakfasts and generous portions of homemade food make Jack’s Café in Cusco one of the city’s most popular eateries. Peruvian cuisine is superb and Cusco boasts an abundance of fabulous restaurants. But after sixteen months of Latin America travel, it was Western-style Jack’s Café that kept my husband and me coming back. Breakfast was our favorite: returning most mornings during our four-month stay as much for the friendly welcome and attentive service as for the creamy cappuccinos and heaping platefuls of huevos rancheros. In the afternoon we’d stop by the Australian-owned Jack’s for a hearty bowl of soup or a tasty toasted sandwich. And evenings at Jack’s were best shared with friends, enjoying simple dishes like bean and cheese tortillas or Thai curries at an affordable price.
Open every day 7:30 AM to 11:30PM; Choquechaka 509, San Blas, Cusco, Peru.
