“I’ve never seen anyone ride a horse like this man,” marveled photographer Jim Stanfield. “It was so natural to him.” Stanfield spent several days with Had, a Mongolian herder. Had and his family were in the saddle 15 to 18 hours a day, looking after some 250 horses, 200 cattle, and other livestock.
