At his worktable aboard Mystique, Mike Cole readies the digital cameras for photographing the denizens of Kaikoura Canyon. When he began studying electronics, Mike says, “They told us to always keep electronics away from water, especially salt water.” Mike defies that lesson every time he checks the camera connections and sends the Ropecam down on another photographic mission.
