Using Our Rivers
Rivers provide invaluable resources: water for drinking, domestic use, agriculture; habitat for plants and animals; transportation, energy, and recreation. Rivers exist within a larger system—watersheds. Everyone lives in a watershed, and everyone shares the water within a watershed. People, wildlife, plant life—all are connected to rivers through watersheds. The activities below can help you see how you’re connected to rivers and to your water supply.
