2004 Winner: Andrew WojtanikHome state: Kansas Andrew Wojtanik, a 14-year-old from Overland Park, Kansas, is the 2004 National Geographic Bee champion. Second place went to 13-year-old Matthew Wells of Bozeman, Montana, and third place was 12-year-old Eric Liaw from Honolulu, Hawaii. Andrew is in the eighth grade at Lakewood Middle School in Overland Park. He enjoys track, baseball and golf, and would love to visit all 55 U.S. national parks.
