Yellowstone may be the planet's most fascinating geothermal hotspot. The park is home to over 300 geysers—about two-thirds of all those known to exist on earth. Over 10,000 hot springs, mudpots and fumaroles (steam vents) add to the dramatic scene driven by Yellowstone's enormous volcanic caldera.
