Visitors often see pronghornthough not for long if fleet-footed herds are on the run. Pronghorn are the Western Hemisphere's fastest ground animals and rival the cheetah as world land speed champion. They can reach 60 mph (27 m/s), often covering some 20 feet (6 meters) in a single bound, and cruise for miles at 30 mph (13.4112 m/s)
