Old Faithful hurls superheated water into Yellowstone's skies year-round, as it has done for centuries. The legendary attraction averages one eruption every 91 minutes. During the several-minute-long show thousands of gallons of water are blasted 106 to 184 feet high (32 to 56 meters high).
Old Faithful is the world's most famous geyser, but it is neither the park's most regular nor its largest. The latter title belongs to Steamboatits unpredictable and rare eruptions soar over 300 feet (91.4 meters) into the air.
