Should I prepare any presentations prior to the conference?

Some of you may be contacted about preparing specific presentations. Otherwise, you do not need to prepare any specific presentations, research, or reports unless you were requested to do so by your account manager. Please bring your enthusiasm for National Geographic and your best storytelling and business ideas from your local office. You are welcome to bring laptops, tablet computers, and mobile phones, although access to electrical outlets will be limited for the first two days of the conference.

When you arrive at your hotel, a welcome bag will be waiting for you with information on the conference, important contact information, what to do in case of emergencies, and transportation in and around Washington, D.C. On the first day of the conference, please check in at our registration desk outside of Grosvenor Auditorium to receive your conference badge, a detailed agenda, and other useful information. Registration is from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. on Monday, September 8, 2014.

Will wireless Internet be provided or a public computer?

Yes, wireless Internet will be available to all guests of National Geographic. The Wi-Fi network name will be provided to all attendees at the registration desk on the first day of the conference. Also, the National Geographic Library has computers available for all attendees who need Internet access but do not have a laptop or tablet. Information on how to access these computers will be available at the registration desk. The computers will only be available during normal working hours at National Geographic (9:00 a.m. to 18:00 p.m. EDT).

Will there be time for additional meetings and conference rooms for use?

Yes, please contact your product account manager to set up direct meetings on your product line. To reserve a conference room for meetings outside the scheduled sessions, please contact Sandi Tun.
