Mahonia nervosa (Berberis nervosa)



First Noted by Expedition
April 11, 1806, at Celilo Falls, Oregon.
 

Description
A low, evergreen shrub. Flowers yellow, with petal-like parts in concentric whorls, 0.5 in (1.5 cm). Height: 24 in (60 cm), occasionally much taller.
 

Habitat
Lowland wet forests.
 

Range
Mainly west of the Cascades and Sierra Nevada from British Columbia south to central California; also Idaho.
