Description
Flower is yellow, dandelion-like, seedhead is fuzzy and white. Thin leaves.
 

Habitat
Open grasslands, woods, chaparral and desert.
 

Range
California (except North Coast) to Washington, Idaho, Utah, western Texas, northern Mexico.
