Biography

SUMMER FREEDOM
June 1995
Saint-Jean-du-Gard

“Antonio, son-in-law to my friends Chopi and Zeze, bathes in a river with his children. In the very hot months of July and August, the family has moved from the housing estates and set up home in a campground 25 miles (40 kilometers) from Alès. Living in caravans—freer, closer to nature—the family adopts a more communal lifestyle, a stark contrast to the isolation felt in the municipal housing estates.”
