You Will Need

• A deck of playing cards

Here's How

1. Sort the cards so all the black ones are together and all the red ones are together.

2. Ask a friend to pick a card and look at it without showing you.

3. Watch which half of the deck the card comes from.

4. Take the card back and slide it into the other half of the deck.

5. To find the card, look for one that doesn’t match the color of those around it.

Why?

It’s easy to pick a certain card out of a deck—if you arrange the deck beforehand!
