National Geographic Museum at Explorers Hall
Odysseys and Photographs—Masters From the National Geographic Archives
August 13, 2008 - January 4, 2009

Look behind the scenes as four legendary photographer-explorers record a remarkable era while building the National Geographic tradition of photographic excellence. Travel with Maynard Owen Williams to Greenland in the 1920s. See a different side of the Caribbean with Luis Marden. Look through Volkmar Wentzel's lens during his travels to India. Witness a changing Middle East with Tom Abercrombie. Together their coverage of the world spans the 20th century, each using his perspective and style to tell compelling stories through images.

This exhibition is part of FotoWeek DC, the first annual gathering of the photography community in the nation's capital. FotoWeek DC runs from November 15-22, 2008.
