Keith Grimwood and Ezra Idlet of Trout Fishing in America Photograph by Jim Holland
During nearly three decades together, Keith Grimwood
and Ezra Idlet, the duo who make up Trout Fishing in
America, have made music for both children and adults,
offering an infectious mix of folk and pop peppered with
reggae, Latin, blues, jazz, and classical music. Trout Fishing
presents the world as kids see it, in an often goofy, but always
lively way that reminds us to embrace life. With 12 albums
to their credit, including last year’s live CD, My Best Day, this
talented duo have established themselves, in the words of the
Los Angeles Times, as “some of the most lyrically creative, musically
sophisticated music-makers in the family music business.”
