Téada Photograph courtesy Real Good Music
The hottest new band to emerge on the Irish music scene in the last few years, Téada was named “Best Traditional Newcomers” in 2003 by Irish Music magazine. For this holiday appearance, Téada’s five members will be supplemented by additional musicians and dancers, including Shanachie recording artist Cathie Ryan as narrator, and will feature an interpretation of the “Wren Boys” tradition of costume-clad performers traveling from house to house in pursuit of appreciation and generosity—a festive Yuletide tradition in Ireland.
Visit our retail store until 8:30 p.m. on December 9 for unique holiday gifts!
