Back by popular demand after two sold-out National
Geographic Live! shows this past spring, Ralph Covert
brings his signature brand of indie rock-inspired family
music back to Grosvenor Auditorium.
Familiar to grownup fans as the leader of The Bad Examples, Covert has created a world of music in which “little guys and gals
and their folks can rock, rock, rockwithout overdosing
on sucrose.” Now recording for the Disney Sound label,
his most recent album of family music, Green Gorilla,
Monster and Me, was nominated for a Grammy award
for “Best Musical Album for Children.” The New York
Times' David Edelstein has speculated that Covert “will
turn out to be (the) genre’s Elvis Presley, or at the very least its Elvis Costello.” As before, these promise to be popular shows, so get your tickets early!
