Hailed by the New York Times as “a rising star in the world
of children’s music,” Justin Roberts has rapidly made
name for himself as a performer and composer of “alt.kid”
songs, winning three Parents’ Choice Gold Awards in the
process.
Beginning his music career as the leader of the Chicago-area indie band Pimentos for Gus, Roberts held down a day job as a Montessori preschool teacher, writing and performing original songs to entertain his students. Now with five solo CDs to his name, including this year’s Meltdown!, Roberts is logging thousands of miles on tour every year, earning him the moniker “the hardest working man in children’s show business.”
