Eight years ago, two Mexican guitarists, Rodrigo Sanchez and Gabriela Quintero found themselves stranded in Dublin and were forced to busk in the streets to raise rent money. They very quickly became a popular part of the Irish capital's thriving rock scene. Rodrigo Y Gabriela combined a background in metal rock with the great Hispano-classical guitar tradition to create a unique sound that pulses with modernity but is rooted in tradition.
