National Geographic Live! presents a special event featuring five of the most accomplished explorers of our time. Marine geologist and underwater explorer Robert Ballard, archaeologist Zahi Hawass, paleoanthropologist Meave Leakey, and paleontologist Paul Sereno—all National Geographic explorers—will participate in a wide-ranging discussion of the future of exploration, moderated by Boyd Matson, host of Wild Chronicles on PBS and National Geographic Weekend on NPR. What will be the role of exploration in an increasingly connected world whose frontiers seem constantly to be shrinking? Will the purpose of exploration change to meet our changing needs? Join this distinguished panel for a wide-ranging discussion.
