In a special screening for the Environmental Film Festival in the Nation’s Capital, acclaimed filmmakers Les Blank and Gina Leibrecht will screen and discuss The Tea Film (working title), their latest collaboration and work-in-progress for Blank’s famed production company Flower Films. This one-hour documentary follows the renowned American tea importer, David Lee Hoffman, to some of the most remote regions of China in search of the finest teas in the world. As the Chinese open their doors to the global marketplace, Hoffman opens their eyes to their own ancient traditions, while introducing the West to one of China's cultural gems. The screening will be followed by a discussion with the filmmakers.
