Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter will address NATIONAL GEOGRAPHICs
editors, writers, photographers, and international partners at the
magazines annual seminar in Washington, D.C., on January 12, 2000, at
7:00 p.m. ET.
Carter will talk about health care in Africa and other global issues with which
he is personally involved through The Carter Center.
Joining the magazines Washington, D.C., staff will be representatives
from local-language editions in Japan, Spain, Latin America, Greece,
France, Germany, Poland, Israel, and Italy. NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC plans
additional local-language editions for Korea, Brazil, Portugal, Denmark,
Norway, Sweden, and Finland.
During the dinner following President Carters discussion, Jason Carterin a surprise visitgave a personal glimpse into life as a presidential grandson.
