CHAPTER ONE:
"Western Islands: Fernandina and Isabela"
This trip would not have taken place without the support of Nikon USA. It was an honor to be chosen by them for this assignment and it was a joy to capture the images in this portfolio using the D600 camera. While in the Galápagos, Andrew Evans was a great collaborator and traveling companion. Jen Wallace of National Geographic did a fantastic job of communicating and coordinating everything related to the contest. Muchas gracias to the crew and staff of the Lindblad/National Geographic Endeavor; their hospitality, service, and good humor made the trip extremely special. Fellow passengers of the Endeavor also deserve a nod; they engaged me in fascinating conversation and joined me in lively adventures. A heartfelt thank you to my wife, Leza Carter, for so graciously holding down the home front during my absence and for supporting me during this entire Full Story contest. And finally to my amazing kids for watching their dad go off on this expedition without them; next time, Luna and Nico, I will try to win a trip for four!
