5.  DOS AND DON’TS
Sewage levels drop late at night, permitting workers to go down and work before the morning flush hour. The sewer has a swift current of waste; sewer professionals call it the “nasties.” Workers must also avoid dangers such as aged ladder rungs, slippery surfaces, and potentially lethal or explosive gases.
