In a Dugout The Cubans are passionate about baseball. I was in a dugout at Estadio Latinoamericano for two or three hours watching two teams, the Industriales and Cienfuegos, play each other. It was a week before the Baltimore Orioles came to play the Cuban national players in March 1999. That game against the Orioles marked the first appearance by a U.S. major-league club in Cuba since March 1959. | |
