London Recipe: Kipper Toasts Part of the Places of a Lifetime series from Traveler magazine

Ingredients:

2 slices wholemeal toast
2 cooked kipper fillets
1 cup grated cheddar cheese
1 tablespoon cream
Worcestershire sauce
Black pepper

Directions:

Butter two slices wholemeal toast. Add a dash of Worcestershire sauce. Mash two cooked kipper fillets with a cupful of grated cheddar, a glug of cream, some black pepper. Pile onto the toast and grill for a couple of minutes.

Servings: Serves two.
