Photo: hiker in Piccaninny Creek, Kimberley
"We hiked in to camp here on Piccaninny Creek, in the Kimberley region of Australia's northwest corner. The creek is normally a little dribble during the dry season-it's a lake in wet season.

"We had heinous weather in the Kimberley. Many days we were shooting in clouds or partial clouds. Tom, our writer, got frustrated and decided to leave. Of course, as soon as he flew out, it got gorgeous."
