Every weekday, host Jim Metzner presents these "two-minute sound portraits of Planet Earth," tracking the rhythms of nature, culture, and science worldwide and blending interviews and extraordinary natural sound. The program is heard on more than 320 public and commercial radio stations, and on Voice of America and Armed Forces Radio around the world. National Geographic shares a National Science Foundation grant to create news stories about the topics of Pulse of the Planet programs.
