Turbine

Hydroelectric dams generate electricity by channeling water through turbines in the power station below a dam. The massive power of the water spins the turbines, which are essentially modern versions of the waterwheels you might see at an old mill. The spinning turbines create electrical current. The result: power for thousands of homes and businesses.
